道岔

道岔是一种使机车车辆从一股道转入另一股道的线路连接设备，通常在车站、编组站大量铺设。有了道岔，可以充分发挥线路的通过能力。即使是单线铁路，铺设道岔，修筑一段大于列车长度的叉线，就可以对开列车。

道岔的工作原理

道岔使列车由一组轨道转到另一组轨道上去的装置。每一组道岔由转辙器、岔心、两根护轨和岔枕组成，由长柄以杠杆原理拨动两根活动轨道，使车辆轮缘依开通方向驶入预定进路。

单开道岔

复式交分道岔像X形，实际上相当于四组单开道岔和一副菱形交叉的组合。将复式交分道岔的X形的上面两点和下面两点分别连接起来，就是交叉渡线。它不仅能开通较多的方向，而且占地不多，所以经常在车站采用。

还有一种交叉设备，通常使用的叫做菱形交叉。它由两组锐角辙叉和两组钝角辙叉组成，但没有转辙器，所以股道之间不能转线。

普通单开道岔

道岔安装装置固定螺丝紧固，装置无旧伤裂纹。

各连接杆、外锁装置无旧伤裂纹，杆件无磨卡及锈蚀，销孔磨耗不大于1mm，绝缘良好。

常用60Kg道岔辙岔号及其通过速度表

道岔的护轨固定型辙叉的重要组成部分，设于固定辙叉的两侧。是控制车轮运行方向，防止其在辙叉有害空间冲击或爬上辙叉心轨顶部，保证行车安全的重要设备。在可动心轨辙叉中，一般仅在侧股设护轨，用以防止心轨的侧面磨耗。
